After discussion, students have an opportunity to choose a piece to replicate and enjoy sketching, painting and creating in this well loved style guided by a instructor.

Calling all bird lovers! Enjoy the arrival of our feathered friends this Fall. Join this fun introduction level two week watercolor pencil and drawing class.  

Each week students will identify, journal, sketch, and add color to new works of art. Learn bird anatomy, feather patterns, traits and habitats while enjoying a fun adventure to Birdland!

Learn the step by step basics of drawing stunning, realistic birds who live in our area. Each student will learn to draw birds using watercolor pencil and watercolor paint. 

*Students will also learn traits, habits and migration in this wonderful world of birds class.

• 2 HB pencils

Guided by experienced instructor, Kelley Cappell, you'll learn essential techniques in portrait drawing and painting, tailored specifically for capturing the essence of your companion.

No prior art experience is necessary – just bring your love for your pet and an open mind! Throughout the workshop, you'll enjoy a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, perfect for unleashing your inner artist and exploring different mediums and styles.

Best yet, you will leave the class with a heartfelt keepsake to cherish for years to come!

This five-week course led by artist Kelley Cappell will introduce you to the beauty of acrylic painting and help you to create several finished compositions. A focus on simple subject matter such as florals, landscapes, paint pouring, and still life ensures that you can confidently learn and practice basic acrylic techniques. 

No previous art experience is required. for adults 16+ 

What students will need for the course:

• Five, 9" x 12" or 11" x 14" primed canvas panels. 
• Set of student grade acyrilic paint (minimum of red, blue, yellow, black, and white).
• Brush set (multiple size for painting).

*If a repeat session is offered, it could be ongoing for students to continue their projects.

Celebrate the season in this delightful 2 hour winter watercolor class!

Students will create four wintery watercolor designs at once to frame or gift. Explore the medium of watercolor paints and experiment with different simple techniques to create original watercolor designs to use as cards or framed art.
