with Megan Ryan

Calendar Sep 18, 2024 at 10:30 am, runs for 1 week

This class is a great way to get your hands on clay! This beginner friendly class students will create a mug or cup using handbuilding techniques, students will have about 3.5 hours to create and decorate their piece using stamps and other surface design techniques. I will give a small talk and demo at the beginning of the lesson, then students will have time to create their cup or mug. I will have a template for them to work with and cut out with clay to make their cup or mug. For the last 10- 20 min of the class we will have a small discussion on what processes happen after creating their piece and they will then choose a glaze for their piece. Students can expect their work to be finished and ready for pick up 4-8 weeks after their class.

Note: tools and clay will be provided, but please bring a towel or smock and wear clothes that you can get messy.
