Create Beautiful Personal Mandalas - Art and Wellness Series Adults 16+ (North Classroom)

Mandala creation is a great activity for stress relief and meditation. This is an enjoyable class for everyone!
Join Jill in this fun and relaxing mandala creation class! Students will learn about Mandalas, which is Sanskrit for concentric circles. Students will then add beautiful geometric designs to symbolize what inspires them personally. The center symbol of the mandala might be a leaf, flower, star, or a moon. The design colors radiate outward representing strength, love creativity, wisdom, and happiness.
This class is for everyone, all ages welcome! Non Artists encouraged.
Supplies Needed:
- Pencils H2 or 4HB
- Erasers
- White Sketch Pad (smooth)
- Colored Markers
- Black 'Sharpies'

Acrylic Painting for Adults 16+(South Classroom)
with Kelley Cappell

This five-week course led by artist Kelley Cappell will introduce you to the beauty of acrylic painting and help you to create several finished compositions. A focus on simple subject matter such as florals, landscapes, paint pouring, and still life ensures that you can confidently learn and practice basic acrylic techniques.
No previous art experience is required.
What students will need for the course:
- Five, 9" x 12" or 11" x 14" primed canvas panels.
- Set of student grade acyrilic paint (minimum of red, blue, yellow, black, and white).
- Brush set (multiple size for painting).
Masks optional in all classrooms and gallery.
