Holiday Glaze Your Own Bowls Night: Clay Lab + South Classroom (all ages)

Come out with your family to this special one night glaze workshop! This workshop is for kids and adults (parents, family, grandparents) This is the perfect family holiday workshop. Make some bowls to give as gifts this holiday season or keep them for yourself!

This  course will introduce students to glazing techniques. Students will focus on specific glazing techniques that students can apply to already made bowls. Students will apply glaze techniques to bisqueware,  bowls will be pre made at Water Street Studios and  ready for students to learn how to glaze and paint ceramics in this one night workshop. Art Materials included in workshop. 

Each student will receive two bowls to glaze!

*Additional bowls will be available for purchase on the night of the workshop. (such as ice cream bowls, cereal bowls, chip and popcorn bowls, etc.)

Students will pick up their finished bowls after they are fired.

*This class is the perfect for beginners or for intermediate ceramic students. This will be a fun class, great for parents, grandparents and kids, friends and family! Reserve your spot, limited space.

Multimedia: Mark-making with Watercolor Washes & Blooms (South Classroom)

This calming immersive artform is especially easy and satisfying to the mind! We’ll create four watercolor blooms, and while they are drying practice some mark-making patterns to add to the watercolor.  You will surely leave this class wanting more.

Scissor & Sip – “Retro Christmas!” Collage Workshop(North Classroom)

Join Water Street Studios School of Art Instructor Carly Palmer for a unique collage workshop!

This introductory workshop will introduce students to the art of hand-cut paper collaging. Collaging offers a way to re-purpose & re-imagine materials. It also has the ability to create connections between disparate images & ideas to tell a new story. ‘Tis the season to wear your favorite Ugly Christmas Sweater and get ready to flip through holiday images from yesteryear to create a festive collage!

This collage workshop is designed with the invitation to engage with one’s creativity through self-expression, play, and be exploratory by nature. Students will be guided and invited in creating their own collages in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

*All materials will also be provided. Students are welcome to bring their favorite magazines and/or paper clippings that they would like to incorporate into their collages.

One drink included in price. Alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks available. Please arrive a little early, as we will begin the workshop promptly at the start time. This is a one-night workshop.

Saturday Social Still-life Open Studio & Paint Session South Classroom

This Saturday Still Life Class will be themed on drawing and painting the theme winter warmth.

Practice your drawing and painting skills in the Water Street Studio Classrooms!  Join us for a relaxing afternoon of sketching and painting and meeting other artists at Water Street Studios.

 Bring a friend or two and make some new ones.  This is community open studio time for practicing drawing and painting in the WSS studio space, it is non instructional. Work on your own projects here at Water Street Studios or paint the still life Water Street Studio sets up! 

We provide: * An interesting still life set up * Studio Space to be creative * Basic drawing supplies * Drawing paper * Photo references * Table easel's*  Coffee & cookies!*

Bring your own favorite art supplies as needed.

This non-instructional, 2-hour session will allow you to explore artmaking  alone or with a group of art friends! for16+

“Fashion Forward” – Teen Fashion + Art Collage Workshop(14 - 18)( North Classroom)

This is the perfect winter break class. Gather your friends and make art together!

This introductory workshop will introduce students to the art of hand-cut paper collaging. Collaging offers a way to re-purpose & re-imagine materials.
