Metalsmithing for Jewelry Fabrication
with Lisa Dienst-Thomas

Design and create one-of-a-kind personalized jewelry. Explore jewelry fabrication using basic metalsmithing techniques. This four-week course will cover sawing, piercing, sanding, hand stamping, texturing, forming, and finishing. Each week you can create one or more unique pieces of copper or sterling silver jewelry. Projects may include earrings, pendants, bracelets, or rings. No experience necessary. Course# MTL100.221.01
Note: For ages 16 and above. Fee includes metal to complete at least four projects and access to the instructor’s studio tools and equipment.
For safety, this workshop is limited to four participants and masks are required.

Beyond Beginner Metalsmithing
with Lisa Dienst-Thomas

Build upon the metalsmithing techniques covered in Metalsmithing for Jewelry Fabrication. Learn proper soldering techniques, fold forming, and much more to enhance your jewelry creations! Refining techniques will be encouraged. Course# MTL101.221.01
Note: Designed for ages 16 and above. Prerequisite: Metalsmithing for Jewelry Fabrication or permission of instructor. May repeat this course as often as desired to master skills.
For safety, enrollment is limited to four students and masks are required.

Cold Connections in Metalsmithing
with Lisa Dienst-Thomas

This four-week course will build upon the metalsmithing techniques you learned in the first metalsmithing class. Students will learn wire rivets, tube rivets, tab settings, and more ways to connect without using a torch! Prerequisite: Metalsmithing for Jewelry Fabrication or permission of instructor. Repeat class to master skills. Course# MTL100.221.01
