Learn how to create wheel thrown ceramics in this comprehensive seven-week course designed for both beginner and intermediate clay artists.
The basics of handling clay are introduced with several hand building techniques. Moving to the wheel, you’ll create cylinders/cups/plates and bowl forms with attachments, such as handles for mugs and spouts for pitchers.
Toward the end of the course, different glazing demonstrations will be introduced to design the work created. Intermediate students will be given more advanced options for learning upper level techniques. Course# CER100.221.12
Note: Designed for ages 16 and above. Glazes and kiln firings are included in the course. During the duration of the class, students may sign up to use the studio for practice during our open gallery hours.
For saftey we limit enrollment and require that masks be worn.
