18th Century Botanical Watercolor (3D Classroom)
with Meaghan Green
$110
Do you want to celebrate spring botanicals and paint your own amazing watercolors?
Join this Class with resident artist, Meaghan Green, and learn how to paint your own watercolor botanicals over 2 weeks!
Beautiful and bright, hand-water colored botanical prints became all the rage in 18th century England. In the wake of the Enlightenment period, artists and explorers carefully studied flora and fauna of all kinds and created detailed and informative sketches of their findings. In this course, we will follow in the footsteps of these inquisitive artists and carefully observe seasonal botanical samples, then create our own hyper realistic water-colored sketches. In addition to sketching and watercolor techniques, students will learn about the rich history of these botanical watercolors and the culture that produced them.
