Water Street Studios artist, Lisa Holzl,  will teach how to make a Picnic Tick Tack Toe Game set with Wine Corks! for 21+

All art supplies are included included in registration fee. (Including all paints, brushes, corks, game set bag and board)

This will be a relaxing outdoor class learning to create a FUN summertime  Tick Tack Toe Game set out of upcycled wine corks complemented by a very special wine tasting provided and curated by Geneva Wine Cellars!

Everybody will leave with their own one of a kind game set at the end of class!

Gather your friends and family and join Water Street Studios artist instructor, Lisa Holzl, for this special one day only outdoor paint and sip workshop to be held on the beautiful patio at Geneva Wine Cellars in Geneva! Students will learn to make a tick tack toe game from wine corks! This set is perfect for Summer time BBQ's, picnics or beach parties or make it as a gift for a good friend!

This art workshop includes a two-hour art making experience. In addition to the art class there will be a special custom selected wine flight exclusively curated  by Geneva Wine Cellars sommeliers for WSS students available directly from Geneva Wine Cellars upon arrival. 

A $15.00 gift certificate is included in this class registration which can be used for the wine flight on the day of class or the purchase of any goods at Geneva Wine Cellars.(sales tax not included)

Learn to draw with Cameron! The class introduces students to all formal elements and principles of art while encouraging individual creativity. Each month, students will practice different techniques to improve basic drawing skills. Using these skills, Cameron's students will explore realistic results. Cameron will hold a step-by-step tutorial to demonstrate the selected technique of the month. The students will then be allowed to expand on the instructor's teachings, creating a more unique piece that is completely original.

Students will use mediums such as: graphite, colored pencil, charcoal, oil pastel, pen, marker, photographs, etc. (For Ages 9 - 12)

Design your own Superhero Workshop(North Classroom) (for ages 5 - 11)

First, students will color their own superhero design on a template.Then, using their design as inspiration, students will create their very own superhero mask from materials like construction paper, paint, makers, and rhinestones!

Beginning Wheel Throwing (Part 2)(Clay Lab)

Calendar Jul 11, 2022 at 3 pm, runs for 4 weeks

This four-week course will meet Mondays and Wednesdays for 2.5 hours. This course is recommended for students who have the basics skills of wheel throwing, storing pieces from week to week, trimming and glazing. Participants will continue to build their skills by throwing new forms to create different shaped bowls, mugs, cups, and vases. They will learn how to center larger 3+ lbs. balls to make 6”-8” tall containers, Mishima carving techniques, slip texture, and a little manipulation of forms. In addition to dunking and brushing glazes, marbling, and blending glazes will be demonstrated for more elaborate finishes.  

Part 2 can be repeated as needed.

 *Note: Designed for ages 16 and above. A 25-pound bag of clay, glazes and kiln firings are included in the course. During the duration of the class, our open studio hours will provide the opportunity for 27 extra hours a week to come in and work on your projects.

Acrylic Painting for Adults 16+(South Classroom)

This five-week course led by artist Kelley Cappell will introduce you to the beauty of acrylic painting and help you to create several finished compositions. A focus on simple subject matter such as florals, landscapes, paint pouring, and still life ensures that you can confidently learn and practice basic acrylic techniques. Course# PNT107.322.02

No previous art experience is required.

What students will need for the course:

  • Five, 9" x 12" or 11" x 14" primed canvas panels. 
  • Set of student grade acyrilic paint (minimum of red, blue, yellow, black, and white).
  • Brush set (multiple size for painting).
