Sculptural Glass Flowers

Under the guidance of your instructor, you will use a 2000 degree flame, along with various tools to sculpt a beautiful glass flower. Enjoy a flower that will never wilt or whither. Some torch experience is helpful but not necessary. Flowers ready for pickup 48 hours after class.

Junk Journaling 101
with Sabrina Martin

In this fun Artistic Friday workshop, you’ll make a one-of-a-kind journal using found and recycled/repurposed materials. Like a scrapbook, your artsy “junk” journal will be perfect for drawing or doodling as well as collecting and storing memories, mementos, photos and inspiring quotes. Starter materials are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own paper goodies to include in your book (i.e., mixed media papers, interesting junk mail visuals, postcards, saved mementos, etc.). A Taste of Glass Bead Making

Curious about glass beads? In this sampler workshop, you’ll explore the ancient, yet simple Venetian technique of melting and layering Italian soft glass in a 2000° flame to create your own one of a kind glass beads. Course# GLS100.220.04
Note: For ages 16 and above. Fee includes all tools, glass, use of a torch, and safety materials.
For safety, this workshop is limited to three (3) participants and masks are required.

Learn how to throw, trim, glaze, and decorate in just a few short weeks. This class meets twice a week for four weeks to concentrate on wheel throwing while also creating a few hand-built projects along the way. Course# CER106.221.01

Sculptural Handbuilding
with Jeremy Foy

Take ceramics to a whole new level in this new course with Jeremy Foy.
Learn several different hand building techniques and create slab containers, coil pots, organic and geometric sculptural forms to decorate with textures, carvings, and glazes. During the duration of the class, students may sign up to use the Clay Studio durng open hours to practice and work on creations. Course# CER107.221.01
