Abstract Acrylic 'Pour' Painting Workshop (North Classroom)
with Kelley Cappell

This FUN one day workshop led by artist Kelley Cappell will introduce you to the beautiful art of acrylic 'pour' painting and help you to create finished compositions!
Acrylic pour painting is a technique used to create paintings with flowing abstract patterns. The effect is created by combining acrylic paint with a liquid medium. This mixture is then “poured” onto a surface and spread around by means of tilting the surface or manually manipulating the paint.
The results are FUN and abstract! You will complete 4 paintings!
No previous art experience is required. (for 16+)
Included in class registration:
- Four 11" x 14" primed(painted white) canvases.
- WSS will provide instruction and other art materials in registration.

Winter Art & Literature - One day workshop (For Ages 7 - 12)(North Classroom)
with Rosalie White

Does you child love to read and create?
Students in this 2 hour workshop class will explore reading children's books and then create unique new artwork inspired by the book they read!
Class will begin by read fascinating stories and then students will create new artworks based on these readings Students will learn new art skills and create using new art skills such as collage, clay sculpture, watercolor, and painting and more throughout the class.
Students will leave class with new artistic drawing and painting skills and completed art projects!

Holiday Cheers Drawing Glass Workshop (3 - D Classroom)

Join this special holiday drawing session! You will learn to draw holiday themed glassware on black paper, the results are both beautiful and dramatic.
Experienced instructor Phil Schorn will lead this step-by-step workshop and guide students to produce beautiful results! Students will be guided to create stunning drawings of cocktail glasses, with gorgeous reflections. This one day 4-hour color pencil project workshop is designed for beginners or anybody that just wants to draw.
You will learn and accomplish a lot in this 4 hour workshop and leave with increased drawing skills to continue to explore drawing on your own.
*Everything will be supplied: paper, reference, pencils just bring your enthusiasm and have fun. A selection of light snacks and one nonalcoholic drink drink included. Just bring yourself and have some fun! This is a perfect class for a relaxing creative friends & family get together!
This program is presented by Water Street Studios instructor Phil Schorn.
Phil’s work has been in magazines, books, newspapers, and television. He has been teaching color pencil since 2017 and an instructor with WSS since 2020.

Make your own Stuffie - One day workshopHoliday Break(North Classroom)(Ages 7 - 11)

This winter break stuffie workshop will run Friday December 29th.
This class will teach students how to make their own unique artistic stuffie by learning to hand sew monster and stuffed animal toys! Students will explore their own creativity and imagination in this two hour workshop. This is a great class for students of 7 - 11, as it requires both creativity and fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem solving.
- Students will turn their own 2-D drawings into 3 -D stuffies.
- Students will learn basic sewing skills, learn how to hand sew!
Students will be guided to create their own one of a kind stuffed animal and leave with new art skills. This will be a fun two hour workshop for beginners.
*All materials are included. Class can be repeated to build skills. Sewing safety skills will be practiced at all times.
